I never thought a kitchen could be so divided, but the Fridgers stayed chilled in the refrigerator while the Cupboard Crew hung out in the pantry. They would only mingle during Friday nights when they were out dancing on the kitchen island. Peanut Butter has a burning question he’s been wanting to ask for a long time and took this opportunity to ask Jam his secret question. But friendly cavorting between the Fridgers and Cupboard Crew isn’t allowed. What should Peanut Butter do?
This is a cute picture book for young readers. It is very colorful and tells a story about friendship and how you shouldn’t judge others whom you perceive as different. I like how you can talk about bullying and kindness to young children using stories like this. It’s definitely less threatening for children when the characters are food items. I think young children will like this sweet story of how Peanut Butter met Jam and how their friendship came about. I recommend this book to children who love a good friendship story, especially children who love PB&J sandwiches.
